Xiaomi announces Mi4i and Mi band at Event in Newdelhi

Xiaomi today has announced its new smartphone in an event here held at Newdelhi.

VP Xiaomi Global, Hugo Barra and  Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun were  present at the event..

Mi 4i

Display

The new Mi4i smartphone features a 5 inch full HD(1920*1080) sharp/JDI display with a pixel density of 441ppi.It is a IPS display with 178 degree viewing angle it is fully laminated OGS(One Glass Solution)and the company says the display as the "SUNLIGHT DISPLAY".Barra claims the display adjusts images so that they look better under bright light. He says the display shows images of higher quality under any lighting and is 30 percent more power efficient.

Camera

The camera has a 13MP Rear camera with f/2.0  aperture and dual tone flash.

The front facing camera is a 5MP camera.Thecamera software includes a 'beautify' feature for selfies. The phone lets you hit the capture button and then you have time to frame the shot. This is called Selfie Timer.The new HDR camera has enhanced alignment, ghost removal, and halo suppression.Gamma and contrast tuning, Colour correction, and low-light de-boosting are some of its other features.

Hardware

The xiaomi Mi4i has a second generation of snapdragon  615 processor.It is a 64-bit Octa core processr (Quad+Quad) .Four performance cores at 1.7 GHz, and four power saving cores at 1.1 GHz.It has 2Gb RAM and 16GB of Flash Storage and support  for sd card also.Mi 4i's has 802.11ac WiFi technology . It also has Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi Direct, USB OTG."Mi 4i is beautiful inside and outside. We work closely with Foxconn all the way down to the robotics,"said  Hugo Barra .

Software  and Battery

Mi 4i's MiUi 6 is built on top of Android Lollipop.MIUI supports six Indian languages - Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil.The Mi4i is packed with a 3120mAh.The mobile charges 40% in 1hour and it take 3hours for Full charge.

Price

Now the most important thing price.This phone is Priced at 12,999/-rupee.Registration for this phone's sale begins 8 pm today. The sale begins on April 30, exclusive to Flipkart. Barra says the phone will be available later on other online stores including Snapdeal, Amazon and mi.com. 

 Barra announces that the Mi Band is coming to India.

 It's a fitness and sleep tracking band, for those who hadn't heard of this product before.The Mi Band has a battery that lasts 30 days, Barra claims. It's water resistant to IP67 standards, he says. The price is Rs. 999.The Mi Band will be available exclusively on Mi.com.It supports any Android 5.0 device, Barra says.1000 Mi Band units will be available at Re. 1. Registration starts April 28. Xiaomi CEO Jun announced free Mi bands for the everyone who attended today's event.
